I'm not alone yet with David Jr and Carly, but I did make a solo trip out today with David Jr for our lactation follow up appointment. We loaded the car up - baby, car seat, stroller, nursing pillow, diaper bag, pump, and tons of water (we are currently experiencing highs in the 90s at the moment) and away we went. Our appointment went very well. David Jr weighed in at 7 lbs, 13.6 oz and consumed 2 ounces of milk during our visit (which is right on track). I was also informed that at this rate, he would probably be back to his birth weight by either tonight or tomorrow - which means we can start letting him sleep for 1 four hour stretch in the middle of the night!! YAY for me!
Once we finished at laceration I was escorted over to the maternity ward to visit a friend who had given birth on Monday. This escort was very appreciated because it allowed me to use the elevated walk way between the physicians plaza and the hospital, instead of having to go back down stairs, through the main floor walk way, and then back upstairs to the floor I had just previously been on.
