David Jr is now four months old, which is amazing to think about! There are times when I feel like he has been here for a lot longer than 4 months and there are other times when I think he was just born. Today also marks the 1 year anniversary of Dave learning about me being pregnant with Baby Orr #2.
At four months David is...
~ recognizing our voices and faces. Carly gets what she refers to as "the good morning smile" every time she talks to him or enters the room.
~ being to attempt to roll more and more, unfortunately he can't seem to get his lower half and upper half to try at the same times. He is quite flexible, however. There are many times that we will find one portion almost flat to the ground, while his other half is on its side or slightly facing the ceiling.
~ rotating himself when on his back to position himself under the right toy to chew on at the moment.
~ putting various toys in his month, along with his hands.
~ grabbing at his legs.
~ smiling with regularity when we speak to him or when someone else talks to him for a while.
~ giggling.
~ cooing and babbling up a storm. There are times when he can go on, and on, and on... (I think he may be learning this from his sister.)
~ likes to look at himself in the mirror and look at books with photographs of other babies.
~ is lifting his head almost a full 90 degrees (while raising his chest some) and looking all around during tummy time.
~ using both hands to grab at his carseat toys and my hair with a death grip.
~ continuing to sleep through the night (once he is willing to fall asleep at night) and taking 3 regular naps a day.
~ an absolute blessing!!
