A Colorful Weekend

This weekend many family members traveled into town for Charlotte's first Color Run - a 5k race where colored powder paint is thrown at you at each kilometer.

The wildness began on Friday afternoon when our family began to arrive.  That evening we celebrated Uncle Earl's birthday and even found cupcakes that he and I could both eat!  Saturday we loaded most of the family up and headed off to the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  After a very colorful 5 kilometers we headed home for a pre-Thanksgiving feast.  The best portion of all of this fun was watching Carly interact with her 2 cousins.  There were points in the weekend when the kids were outside throwing sand, chasing each other around the house, and having an overall great time together.  While it all made for a wild and crazy time, I can't wait for everyone to get together again for Christmas!
