The sponge/washcloth baths just didn't compare - her new bath event was screaming and crying free!! We then dressed her in a cute little outfit and decided to take her on her FIRST outing.
It wasn't anything super exciting, but Jake needed to be picked up from the groomers and was also in need of a new bag of food. So off we went to PetsMart... She seemed very undisturbed by the outing and Jake actually was on his best behavior ever walking through the store to the checkout lane, maybe he was showing off his new hair cut or maybe he was showing off Carly.
Dave and I have spent a lot of time today saying how quickly this month has flown by and how it still amazes us that we now have a daughter. But with these statements we also discuss how her routines (as random as they are) have become second nature. We don't think twice when she gets fussy about changing her diaper and then feeding her. Or how there is no hope of putting her in her crib before a 10pm feeding. Hopefully now that we are slightly more adjusted to life with a daughter and aren't running around quite as crazy as we were one month ago today preparing for our trip to the hospital, life will slow down a little bit so we can savor each moment with Carly.
Wow. That whale tub is great. I had not seen one. I do like bathing them at countertop level. Aunt Bubble
